Walk Location Details:
Deerleap woods within the New Forest is a popular place to walk the dogs. All those fans of the Greenham Common walk (consistently our most popular walk), should come to this one, as the terrain is very similar (and similar to Lapland!) . Lots of open space, then some woods, then more open space, and a small river for a dip! What more could a lappy want?
Beware the Forestry Commision website locates the car park west of the Scilly Isles!!
Walk Duration: approximately 2 hours
Expected Terrain: Muddy (bring wellies or very waterproof boots!), forest paths/heath.
Nearest Toilet Facilities: Behind a bush I'm afraid!
Expected Hazzards: wild ponies roam at leisure in the New Forest, please respect their space and make sure your dog does not harrass them. Bring along your dogs' favourite food treat to ensure good recall!
