On the voting page, you will find small versions of all the photos (the page will take a little while to load, so please be patient!), and if you want to see a larger version, just click on the thumbnail and a larger size will open in a new window.
Each thumbnail has a tickbox underneath. Due to the large number of photos entered this year, we have introduced a two-step voting procedure.
Please select your favourite 24 photos by ticking the boxed below the photos. Once you have selected 24, please click on the ‘View Shortlist’ button.
You will now be taken to a page which displays only your shortlist of 24 photos. You must now decide which photos are your top 12, and again select them by ticking the box below the photos.
Once you have made your selection, please enter your name and email address at the bottom of the page. We should also appreciate it if you could indicate how many calendars you are likely to want in the box at the bottom of the page. This is in no way binding, but will help to give us an indication of how many calendars we need to order.
To thank you for taking part in the vote, at the close of the vote, one lucky winner will receive a FREE CALENDAR! Please ensure you enter your correct email address on the voting page so we can get in touch with you if you win.
The official rules for voting are as follows:
- You will initially select a shortlist of 24 photos
- You then select your top 12 photos
- You may vote only once
- The top 12 photos at the close of voting will be included in the calendar
- a. However, we will only include one dog from each household, so if two or more photos in the top 12 feature dogs from the same household, only the top one of these will be included and the others not. The next photo in order of most votes will then be included, and so on.
- On the voting page, you will be asked to indicate the number of calendars you are likely to wish to purchase. This is in no way binding, but will give us an indication of how many to print.
- We will announce which photos are to be included in the calendar before you have to commit to buy any calendars. The announcement of the winning photos will be posted on the SFLS Website, the Yahoo Group and emailed to all SFLS members.
- For the competition, a random name will be drawn from a hat at the close of the vote to determine the winner. The prize will be one 2010 SFLS Finnish Lapphund Calendar. There will be no alternative prize.
- ANYONE can vote – you do not have to be a member of the SFLS or even have a Lapphund for that matter, but we do ask you to vote only once per person. ANYONE can purchase a calendar.
- The calendars will cost £8 plus postage and packaging (£1 for UK orders, £2 for Europe, £3 for Rest of World). If you would like to order several copies, please contact us so we can calculate a combined postage rate.
- VOTING WILL CLOSE AT 10 PM GMT ON 2nd NOVEMBER 2009.
- We will do our best to get the calendars out before Christmas. However, if we end up with many more orders than are indicated on the voting page, and therefore sell out, we will have to order a second print run. This could delay delivery.
- After voting has closed, details of ordering will be posted on the SFLS Website, on the Yahoo Group and emailed to all SFLS members.
- We will sell calendars on a first come first served basis. However, if we do sell out of the first print run and there is still further interest, we will keep taking orders for a further period of time and will have a second print run.
If you have any questions please email calendar@sfls.org.uk.
